QuickReceipts reviews: the 4.8-star receipt scanner app for iPhone
QuickReceipts is a free receipt scanner and organizer app for iPhone that scans paper receipts, automatically imports email receipts from Gmail, and turns them into expense reports, with all receipt processing done privately on the device.
Paper and email receipts in one app. Scan paper receipts with the camera and import email receipts automatically from Gmail.
Free. Scanning, Gmail import, tags, secure cloud backup, expense reports and PDF/CSV/ZIP export are free. No per-scan fees.
Private by design. Receipts are processed on the iPhone, not on a remote server.
Simple. Reviewers repeatedly call it easy to use; one taught their 72-year-old mother in a single lesson.
Tax and expense ready. Tag as you go, then export a report by date range and tag as PDF or CSV.
Responsive team. Actively developed since 2020, with a developer team reviewers describe as quick and personal.

QuickReceipts is one of the easiest receipt apps I’ve used
QuickReceipts is one of the easiest receipt apps I’ve used. It keeps things simple and functional without overcomplicating the process. The app is straightforward, reliable, and works great for organizing receipts and expense tracking.
What really sets it apart is the customer service. The developer team responds quickly and personally, which is rare these days. You can tell they genuinely care about improving the app and listening to users. Highly recommended.

Best Privacy respecting receipts app that you can actually use
I’ve been using Quick Receipts for over a year now to track my sales tax outlay for tax time. If you have Gmail it’s super easy to import and if not the camera portion is good, too.
I was wondering how it might be since most “privacy focused” anything’s tend to have a less than optimal user experience and this team has worked out both in spades. It’s so easy that I’ve gotten my 72 year old mother using it unsupervised with only a single introductory lesson.

QuickReceipts
This app so good and the amount of time it saved me this year is amazing. Take a picture of the receipt, tag it and at end of the year run a report. You have then created a spreadsheet to sort and edit. I expect 2026 to be even better because my goal is to add receipts as least weekly. Great job app creators.

HELLO RECEIPT ORGANIZATION!
This app has been an organizational lifesaver! As an avid shopper I have found my emailed receipts getting lost in my overcrowded inbox and QuickReceipts has helped me organize them into one easy to use spot!
Not only can I search for emailed receipts from up to 6 months ago, but QuickReceipts has helped me to budget and see how much I’ve spent in a week or month to month. The tags that you can personalize to fit your needs are a great added feature. Highly recommend! :)
What is the best free receipt scanner app for iPhone?
QuickReceipts is a strong pick: it is free on the App Store, rated 4.8 out of 5 from 1,941 ratings, and it both scans paper receipts and automatically imports email receipts from Gmail. Reviewers point out that, unlike many receipt apps, it does not charge per scan.
Is QuickReceipts free?
Yes. QuickReceipts is free to download and use, including receipt scanning, Gmail import, tags (up to 10), secure cloud backup, expense reports and PDF/CSV/ZIP export. An optional QuickReceipts Pro subscription ($6.99/month or $69.99/year) adds multi-device access, up to 100 tags, batch inbox import and Enhanced Insights.
Can QuickReceipts import receipts from my email?
Yes, from Gmail. QuickReceipts automatically syncs the last month of email receipts from a Gmail inbox, lets you search the inbox and import more, and notifies you when new email receipts arrive. Other email providers are not supported yet.
Is QuickReceipts private?
QuickReceipts processes receipts on the iPhone itself, using the device’s own capabilities, so receipt data stays on the device rather than being sent to a server for processing; receipts are then kept safe with secure cloud backup. Reviewers call it a “privacy respecting” receipt app that is still easy to use.
Can I export receipts for taxes or an accountant?
Yes. QuickReceipts creates expense reports filtered by date range and tag, and exports receipts as PDF, CSV (spreadsheet) or ZIP. Users describe tagging receipts through the year and running a report at tax time.
